BE AWARE: UT Theatre Department Victim of Scam!
Over the past few weeks, individuals posing as UT Theatre Department students have been going door to door asking for money to help fund either a trip to London or to help support the troops in Iraq. Sometimes they are selling books. Other times they are selling magazines. This is a scam! The UT Theatre Department DOES NOT send students to collect money door to door EVER. This scam has spread from Knoxville to Nashville. If you are solicited by someone saying they are a UT Theatre Department student, please contact Sgt. Timberlake at the UT Police Department at 865-974-1092.
